<div>Will your home security scams ever stop? The latest scam has fraudsters going door to door, posing as sales reps for 'Trio Alarm.' They first be sure that the houses they visit already have a security system (e.g., security decals on windows), then tell the occupant that this company to the security system adjusted belly up. (Yeah, right, ADT moved belly up!)<br>But there's one born every minute, right? The scammer tries to get the resident to sign a five year get 'Trio Alarm.'<br>The alleged Trio Alarm company doesn't actually have a business license in the city of Huntington, West Virginia, where these scams happen to be occurring. There is indeed a Trio Alarm company, however it is not known if the scammers are linked to them.<br>At any rate, if someone shows up at the door and says your alarm company went under, have you been really na??ve enough to look at their word because of it and sign a five year contract on the spot, in lieu of simply thanking that person, taking their business card, closing (and locking) the doorway, and then calling your alarm company to ensure what you just learned?<br>Contact the attorney general's office if you feel that a sales rep for your door would be a con artist.
