Our Dog Duchess

She is our furry daughter. We are happy to say, we now have had her several years this month. We went to a breeder in the town called Glen's Ferry, Idaho. They had about 50 or 60 adult sheperds and perhaps a dozen approximately puppies.
The grown dogs were roaming around free. They had ponds to swim in, and lots of room to perform. The pups were in a large building with kennels. In seperate kennels were dogs in heat.
When we drove onto the breeder/owners land, it turned out like driving in the center of a herd of cattle. Big sheperds were everywhere. There were all colors, dogs with sloped hind quarters, and regular squared hind quarters. They had rescued dogs, strey dogs, and Mixed breeds too.
We got from the car, and walked amoung all those large dogs. That was quite an experience. Not one dog ever jumped on us or acted agressive toward us.
We met the owner/breeder and that he took us for the building where the puppies were kept. There were white puppies, and black one and silver/black puppies. They were all so adorable. They were all attempting to be noticed. One puppy was sittine in the center of a very large feeding dish.
One black and silver pup was on Tony's foot. Another pup climbed up on to his lap. We must are already there a few hours. It is so hard to pick one puppy. Needless to say, one puppy is much more than enough to consider. It is a big responsibility as well as a large expense to boost a puppy. It's like raise a child that never gets older. For this you obtain love, comfort, loyality. and joy.
Duchess has been a blessing to us, but specifically for my husband. He is very ill, and he has regained numerous strength. She has been such good medicine for him.
She is a handful for us old folks. Duchess is a very strong, beautiful dog. Our vet loves her, she has been going towards the same vet all her life. She boards there once we go away.
Her favorite activity is to chase tennis balls. Four times each day we throw 30 tennis balls for her to chase. We play fetch together with her again at night. Needless to say, fundamental essentials very best times to be with her..except to eat.
When we've got hamburgers, she has Hamburger Fries & Shake. When we now have chicken, she has chicken. She is our child, in the end.
