The other big statement we all some time is "People have told me that they went for Hypnotherapy to stop smoking, then lit a cigarette the next they left the consulting room". We hear this day in and outing so we've now decided to produce a piece of writing on precisely how hypnotherapy works and exactly how it can help you.

The Conscious Mind

Before we can tell you how hypnosis works we have to understand the mind. Our minds have two areas. The conscious mind and also the subconscious mind. The conscious side is the critical side that handle the logical aspects of life and may be the side that analyses everyday situations. The conscious mind deals with our short term memory and enables us to consider such things as what we should watched on tv the night before or might know about had for evening meal.

This section of the mind tries to make sense of everything and it is very critical. However it does have its limitations and also the biggest is that it cannot make contact with our inner most feelings, the things which really motivate us. Unless we could bypass our conscious mind we don't stand a great deal of chance in solving any one our inner most issues like stopping smoking using hypnotherapy, slimming down through hypnotherapy etc. This is where the Subconscious mind comes in.

The Subconscious Mind

Our conscious mind takes care of the critical and analytical side of our own lives whilst our subconscious mind looks after our emotional and intuitive side. This section of the mind is best described as a large database that carries huge amounts of information including our long lasting memory. The subconscious is very powerful so when it deals with our emotional side in our feelings it may also help protect us and will block out bad experiences whether it's necessary. Only if we could tap into our subconscious mind can we assist with curing phobias, behaviors etc which is where Hypnotherapy also comes in.

The Science behind Hypnotherapy

There are numerous articles and books as regards to hypnotherapy but as we now understand what sort of conscious and subconscious help us in our daily lives we now know that in order to change our habits and cure phobias we need to basically talk to the subconscious part of our mind. Hypnotherapy is the gateway for the subconscious. Through various induction methods during hypnotherapy treatment you'll bypass your conscious mind and talk directly towards the subconscious allowing dozens of wonderful changes to occur.

One important thing to note is that hypnotherapy relies totally on consensual behaviour of course, if you because the client don't want to enter into the hypnotic state nobody on the planet can make you. One final point is that hypnotherapy helps lots of people everyday all across the world with their phobias and bad habits so we really should not be too concerned with how it operates. All we should instead know is always that In short Hypnotherapy works if you since the client need it to work.
