Time is among those things that individuals all possess some understanding of. At the same time, however, it is just one of those terms in which there are many varying understandings and seemingly no precise definition.
In many efforts to define the term 'time'; we very often use the very word within the definition. Although time is an ever-present concern of humans; this only clearly demonstrates the actual in formulating a definite precise and easily understood definition that we will all universally agree and accept.
There has always been a knowledge of time throughout history or even more accurately since humans develop consciousness.
It is just as vital to have some understanding of terms awareness, cognition or consciousness, knowledge and the mind to be able to better understand time.
Consciousness is a the state of being conscious of yourself and surroundings. This is as a result of functions or affects for the higher nervous activities of the most important organ, the brain.
Cognition may be the psychological response to perception, learning and reasoning. Perception may be the awareness through our senses.
Awareness means having knowledge of something.
The crucial question obviously arises: what's knowledge and simply what does it means to know?
Knowledge is often used like a synonym for cognition, though the most accurate concise explaination knowledge or perhaps the act of knowing is just the process in which information or any stimulus is recorded for the brain.
The stages of the most complex reaction inside a simplified form could be represented as: stimulus or stimuli through the environment being transmitted along afferent nerve pathways for the central nervous system, this is then imprinted or recorded and interpreted instantaneously along with the subsequent reaction or reactions transmitted along effective nervous pathways.
It is this process of recording for the brain, memory, which gives us awareness and it can be the acting upon our awareness and reasoning out things that individuals have knowledge.
It is through this complex technique of acting upon our awareness, by recalling the recorded information or stimuli (memory) and reasoning around the various stimuli that people have the results of feeling and different responses. This we attribute for the development of the mind. The mind is therefore, the most important natural development.
Having outlined an knowledge of these key concepts, then any definition or knowledge of time is much better understood or appreciated.
Time could be viewed like a kind of acronym this means: thoughts at heart of events. This underlines the fact time is really a creation or concept develop by humans to record or take note of events: days gone by, whatever has already occurred, the present what is currently occurring as well as the future that which is anticipated.
Based on this definition or concept one can reasonably conclude when nothing happens, then there's no time. If there exists no awareness or consciousness then there's no time. It is all in your head.
People often state that time progresses and often the concept is just one of linear motion. But, an appealing question and observation are worth mentioning. At what specific point or time does today become tomorrow? Is this a fraction of a second after midnight? And does time really move ahead or is this simply the way you imagine it or formulate it within our minds?
It is worth mentioning that today cannot become tomorrow without at one and also the same moment or time automatically become yesterday! Rune Heivang In other words, the specific moment or time that today, the present becomes the longer term, today becomes also yesterday. It is for this reason it can be clearly understood the theory that there exists only the actual, one continuous now and all that individuals have or is ever going to have has become!
At what pace does time move? This again is extremely subjective to individual experiences.
When we are in a very heightened state of awareness or consciousness then time usually move slowly or at a slower pace. The reverse can often happen. When we are in a slumber or at the lower a higher level awareness, then time seemingly moves in a faster pace.
Our a higher level expectations also influences our concept of the pace at which time usually move.
These two points could be demonstrated by common human experiences. When we are on a journey to somewhere, the first time, the forward journey or time and energy to reach appears a lot longer. This is because things are unfamiliar in the process when were heading there. The return, travelling on the same pace, appears to be less time because we are somewhat informed about the scenes on the way. It becomes more obvious if it journey becomes part of our daily routine.
The second example is demonstrated by the belief that when we have been in eager anticipation of an event. For example, when we badly need money and payday is often a few days away, then time appears to move slowly. The reverse is valid. When there is definitely an event that individuals are not eagerly anticipating, such as an exam which is why we aren't fully prepared then time seems to move so quick.
These examples have clearly indicated that our consciousness of energy, that ever-present concern is only a concept, thoughts in the mind of events, the bottomline is, all in your head.
