Summer has finally arrived and it?s time for a lot of ?fun on a sunny day? cookin?? gluten-free design of course!

I must admit that is one of my favorite times of year to cook, what with all the fresh ingredients available in the grocery stores and farmer's markets. The shelves are packed with fresh fruits and veggies and boy is it calling over to me, "Use Me, Use Me", which obviously I love!

For me, the summer months are a more relaxed, creative, and spontaneous time of the year. But spontaneity is ideal if there is just a little planning ahead of energy - being prepared is a good thing. You just can't predict when your friends or family will be dropping by or when they is going to be calling you over to have an impromptu gathering, the kind of gathering which needs a spectacular dish at your fingertips, needless to say. And regardless if you are asked to bring a dish or not, being gluten intolerant, it is usually best to "be prepared" and arrive with something that you know it is possible to eat and will please others too. Here is one kind of my favorite "quick and easy recipes", which is great for any sexual unexpected calls, my Gluten-free Pistachio Pasta Salad.

We all know that summer brings with it an abundance of outdoor activities, like camping and field trips for the youngsters, several beach or backyard parties for that teens, or maybe several picnics on the way. Whatever the sport, food is involved!

We also realize that hotdogs, hamburgers, and potato salad include the favorite food for many of these activities. They can be easily bagged up and shipped off at anytime, to anywhere and everybody will probably be happy, right? Well not quite everybody? these old standbys just aren?t planning to work for the gluten sensitive person.

But don't worry you gluten free people, I have some good alternatives that you are able to prepare, bag up and wear so that you don?t have to miss out on each of the fun. And I will bet you, the hotdog and Hamburger Fries & Shake eaters will be checking out everything you have!

Here are several ideas:

Chicken is definitely a great alternative, whether you bag it ahead of energy with all your selected flavors, or else you take it to grill wherever you will need to. If you are planning to grill it up, here is somewhat tip?place it in a baggie together with your favorite marinade before leaving home, after which enjoy the yummy flavors when it is finally grilled up.

This chicken can even be diced as much as make a great chicken salad wrap (CLICK HERE), or converted into a basic chicken salad sandwich created using gluten-free Kinnikinnick bread.

And for a few great snackin? side treats, it?s to the fresh fruits and veggies?the greater the merrier! Slice ?em, dice em?, eat ?em cooked, eat ?em raw, whatever your decision, just load ?em up.

Whatever the adventure for the summer, try to be prepared with lots of great food fixings? and everybody, gluten free or otherwise not, will eat healthier!
